Die Deutsch-Litauische Gesellschaft widmet sich der Integration Litauens in die Europäische Union. Es werden Veranstaltungen in den Bereichen Politik, Wirtschaft, Bildung, Kultur und Wissenschaft angeboten und ein Jugendaustausch sowie Ausstellungen organisiert.

The German-Lithuanian Society had been founded jointly by Germans and Lithuanians in 1993 in Berlin. It is registred as a non-profit-making organization. From its statutes: »The central, main aim of the Society is to initiate, support and deepen the understanding between Germany and Lithuania by organizing meetings and projects as well as the exchange of experience in all fields, especially politics and economy, science, education, culture and sports.

With its activitities and projects the German–Lithuanian Society promotes the mutual understanding of Germans and Lithuanians in a common Europe. In cooperation with German, Lithuanian and European institutions it participates in congresses, workshops and different kinds of other events. The society has active, supporting and promoting members and makes an effort to increase its number of members.
